Several African selections now have cases of Covid-19 within them. After Algeria, it is the turn of Guinea and Cape Verde to be affected by the virus.

African nations engaged in the Africa Cup of Nations are starting to detect cases of Covid-19. After Algeria, which has three postive players, it is the turn of Syli National to announce that they have been affected.

According to Guinean media, Moriba Kourouma, Mamadou Kane, Ousmane Kanté and a member of staff have tested positive for the coronavirus. They have been put in solitary confinement in Conakry and will carry out further tests in the coming days.

Cape Verde also detected a case on Tuesday evening. The local federation announced that a member of the group was affected by the virus, as part of the Covid-19 screening tests carried out on all the components of the selection.
