Amota: “I was offered to coach the Moroccan national team, and I refused to succeed Vahid Halilhodzic.”

Al-Hussein Amota, coach of the Moroccan Olympic team and Wydad sports team, confirmed that he had rejected an offer from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to lead the first team to succeed Bosnian Vahid Halilhodzic.

Al-Wedadi’s coach added in a statement to the “BN Sport” channel that Fawzi Lakjaa, the president of the university, offered him last Ramadan to coach the Atlas Lions, but he apologized for personal reasons.

In his address, Al-Hussein Amota said he was not ready to lead the lions in the World Cup for fear of failure, wishing Walid Regraki success with the national elite in the World Cup Qatar 22.

The same spokesperson explained that he had obtained an agreement with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the sports administration of Wydad to supervise the red team and train the Olympic team at the same time.
