After a first week rich in conferences, student activities, and major events, the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) today seals a partnership with Webhelp, which employs more than 10,500 people in Morocco with 4,500 in Fez, making Webhelp the first private employer in the Fez-Meknes Region.

The agreement, initialed by the President of the UEMF, Pr. Mostapha Bousmina and the Managing Director of Webhelp Morocco, Redouane Mabbour, covers several aspects related to the training and skills development of Webhelp staff who are now tackling engineering, IoT (Internet of Things), ITO (Information Technology Outsourcing), BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), Big data and digital professions, which is one of the flagship specialties of the Euromed University of Fez which has the only engineering school in the Euro-African space completely dedicated to Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.

This agreement is part of the continuity of the strong relations that the UEMF undertakes with the socio-economic and industrial world and the continuous implementation of its triptych “training, research-innovation and openness to the professions of the future”.

Under this agreement, the two parties undertake to pool their efforts in order to put in place a series of measures capable of boosting the professional integration of young UEMF graduates and to support Webhelp in improving skills of its staff, as well as in the organization of events for the benefit of young people, like the Hackathon co-organized by the two partners from September 21 to 23 for the benefit of a hundred young people from the UEMF.

They are called upon to compete in ingenuity to respond to a concrete problem in the presence of experts from Webhelp and the CRI and supervised by professors from the Euromed Business School, the School of Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. and the Department of Entrepreneurship and Socio-economic Cooperation of the UEMF.

“This agreement will, on the one hand, facilitate the access of UEMF graduates to Webhelp and, on the other hand, allow us to use the University’s training system to help us improve our skills in certain professions. engineering and digital. Our ambition is to support the development and growth of the outsourcing sector in Morocco,” says Redouane Mabhour, Managing Director of Webhelp Morocco.

This event enriches the start of the academic year of the UEMF, which has organized several key events: integration week, international conference on the “Science-Governance interface in the Euromed region” in partnership with the Euro-Mediterranean University EMUNI of Slovenia and the Union for the Mediterranean with the participation of speakers from around twenty countries, the organization of the meeting of the executive board of ASRIC (African Science, Research & Innovation Council) which is part of the African Union and which is currently chaired by Professor Mostapha Bousmina, on behalf of the Hassan II Academy of Sciences and Techniques, of which he is the Chancellor, and finally the conference of September 21, which will be moderated by Dr. Rachid Achachi, on the following theme: Spinoza or liberation through knowledge.
