During the period from January 1 to December 31, 2021, the number of companies created through the Regional Investment Center (CRI), in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, recorded an increase of around 25%, standing at 1,651 companies against 1,320 for the same period in 2020. While the average time for creating companies through the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab CRI is 8 days.
According to a report by the CRI of Dakhla, 1,651 companies were created in Dakhla last year, which reflects the attractiveness of the region for new growth sectors and reinforces the strengthening of the economic fabric, moving towards less dependence on other regions, through new productions, as well as the provision of new services, meeting the needs of the inhabitants whose standard and quality of life are constantly increasing.
The same source adds that despite a dominance of legal persons amounting to 66% of the units created, the legal format of natural persons (PP) remains attractive for project leaders in the region, standing at 34% of the total. creations, followed by Joint Ventures (SNC) which, despite their low representation, experienced an increase of around 170% compared to 2020.
Like the other regions of the Kingdom, the LLC remains the most attractive status for companies created. With a recorded increase of 40% compared to 2020, the 1,050 SARLs demonstrate a more pronounced sectoral diversification than the other legal statuses, largely dominated by miscellaneous services which stand at 41%, and followed by agriculture, fishing, trade, tourism, construction and public works which represent a total of 52% of creations. About a third of creations in 2021 (out of a total of 571) are represented by natural persons (PP), 74% of whom operate in commerce, followed by miscellaneous services at 20%, mainly dedicated to services for individuals. Tourism (operation and management of tourist and catering structures) and crafts (craft productions) come next, representing 6% of the total of the PPs created.
The total share capital of the 1,651 companies created in 2021 stands at 149.3 million dirhams, dominated at 34% by the building and public works sector, thus reflecting the effort to strengthen urban infrastructure, driven by the sector. private sector and the provision of a building offer to the general public that meets the requirements of the local population and newcomers in qualitative and quantitative terms. While the 29% of social capital concerns miscellaneous services, divided into services directed towards fellow citizens, mainly, then towards production companies. Out of 573 investment projects submitted during 2021, 55% were validated by the SPOCs within less than a day, representing a total investment amount of 21.8 billion dirhams, an increase of 29% compared to 2020.
The job creation potential estimated at 9,772 jobs for 2021 increased by 19% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Projects with a favorable opinion, including with reservations, represent 72% of the 313 procedures validated by the SPOCs, attesting to the improvement in the quality of file processing in comparison with 2020, evaluated at 58% of validated projects, and represents a potential for creating 5,573 jobs in the region.
It should be noted that the total investment amount of the projects validated by the CRUI stands at 5.4 billion dirhams, including 1.2 billion dirhams, invested and carried out at the end of 2021. 114 projects have obtained the deeds and authorizations requested in 2021, ahead of only 66 projects in 2020, i.e. a value representing a 72% increase.
