Lannouncement was made in a joint statement released on Friday following a meeting in New York between Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy , Josep Borrell, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Discussions between the two parties have “focused on bilateral relations and the reciprocal desire to deepen dialogue and cooperation, within the framework of the strategic partnership between the European Union and Morocco”.

Bourita and Borrell particularly welcomed the forthcoming signing of the EU-Morocco green partnership which “will pave the way for enhanced cooperation and strategic dialogue in the field of the fight against climate change and facilitate joint efforts towards the green transition”.
Both parties also reaffirmed their desire to “continue to work together to meet global challenges”. They agreed to “Find an upcoming date for a visit by the High Representative to Morocco”says the joint statement.
