Consultations between the government and the most representative trade unions on the implementation of the social agreement signed on April 30, 2022 will begin this Thursday, September 22. The right to strike, the revision of the Labor Code, the draft law on trade unions will be on the negotiating table.
This meeting comes after the meeting of the Higher Committee for Social Dialogue chaired by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, on September 14th. It is therefore planned that the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, will hold a meeting this Thursday with union representatives on the Finance Bill for the year 2023, reports Hespress, indicating that it is likely that Fouzi Lekjaa will unveil a presentation on the content of the PLF 2023, and will listen to the comments and remarks of the unions on this subject. Consultations will also be carried out on the possibilities of integrating the content of the social agreement into this project. Among the trade unions’ demands is a reduction in income tax and an increase in wages.
