This Tuesday, December 26, the African Football Confederation (CAF) drew lots for the group stage of the Champions League.
The Moroccan representatives, Raja and Wydad, therefore know their respective opponents whom they will face in the group stage of the African Champions League.
The Greens find themselves in Group B with Horoya Conakry, ES Sétif (ALG), and Amazulu FC (RSA). The Reds are in Group D, alongside Zamalek (Egy), Petro Athéltico (ANG) and Segrada Espernaça (ANG).
Double defending champion Al Ahly from Badr Banoun inherits an affordable group A with South Africans from Mamelodi Sundowns as main competitor. Sudanese Al Hilal and Al Merreikh complete this group.
Group C promises great Maghrebian derbies as it brings together three teams from North Africa, Esperance Tunis, Etoile du Sahel and CB Bélouizdad, with the Botswanans from Jwaneng Galaxy.
