Video. Abdellaltif Miraoui will soon visit Israel, H24info

The Minister of Higher Education indicated that he would go “after November” to Israel. Abdellatif Miraoui had already received the Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Orit Farkash-Hacohen, last May.

“I was supposed to go to Israel two weeks ago, but I postponed until after November,” said Abdellatif Miraoui, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Tuesday, September 20, during of a press conference dedicated to the start of the academic year.

“We have good relations with Israel, especially in the area of ​​scientific research. We also have world-class Moroccan research professors in Israel, but not only, in other countries as well. We must benefit from each other,” said the minister, in response to a question from journalists.

Morocco and Israel signed, at the end of May in Rabat, a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fields of innovation, scientific research and technology.

The agreement was initialed at a ceremony chaired by Abdellatif Miraoui and the Israeli Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Orit Farkash-Hacohen, who was on an official visit to Morocco. It aims in particular to develop joint research programs in “priority sectors” for the two countries.

According to Miraoui, areas of common interest include green energy, sustainable agriculture, health and modern industries.
